I wanted to express my 100% complete satisfaction in the work Husk Signs did for my company. In early February we moved our office to a separate suite and we needed new signs made for our parking lot and new entrance. I contacted Kathy Long whom I had met through the Chamber of Commerce and Kathy Know the signs were complete, she drove to the office to track me down.
Anyone looking to get new signs should call Kathy Long from Husk Signs. I guess it would be important to mention that the new signs look spectacular. If you are still using old wood painted signs, I would highly recommend looking at what Kathy can do for you.

...moreI can't believe how much better these modules are than the ones we've seen using. We've tried every manufacturer out there and the colors were atrocious. HCI LED modules are ridiculously consistent, plus I use them with the cheapest Lexan and they create a spot-on white background for my colors. I couldn't be happier!

...moreWe have been playing with your Test Box all morning. I am surprised no one else is confident in their product to create something like this. We have put every LED we have in the shop inside it and compared to all of yours. Your LEDs and color brightness seem to be comparable to anything we have here and in fact the Polaris Series has a bright white that we like a little better.

Formed out of Husk Companies, Inc., HCI LED is our LED products wholesale division. HCI LED offers great products and services focused on growing the use of LED technologies in the signage lighting industry, as well as commercial, industrial and residential applications of the technologies. We bring to bear our 37 years of industry experience to develop new solutions to common industry applications
Brief History of The Company
In late 1979 (before computers) as a junior in hi school, Kip started hand lettering and painting signs on a 3’x 4′ easel in his mother’s kitchen. Everything was hand painted; mainly banners, showcards and trucks. In 1981, after saving up $2,000, Kip built a garage on the back of his mom’s house. Business grew rapidly. Shortly thereafter, Kip purchased the house from his disabled mother and remodeled it so he could care for her long term.
Business flourished…
Over the first 6 years the business doubled. He hired a few more people but still worked a lot of 18 hour days back to back. In 1985, Husk Signs built a manufacturing facility near the Evansville airport, started the outdoor advertising division, and added lighted signs and electronic message centers to their offerings. Husk Signs became a UL listed shop and began shipping signs to locations around the world. Over the next few years, growth continued at a sustainable pace. In 1994, the company bought a building on a large piece of adjacent property. There they built another building to facilitate future growth.
As the company grew, it gained several large national accounts. We hired additional staff to guarantee future capability and to scale in order to keep up with the growth of these national accounts, better maintaining quality, service and pricing. Dedicating staff to these accounts allowed us to continue with almost daily contact, reassuring a great Value proposition. In 1998, Husk Signs bought a third property and built its 4th building from which to create a wholesale division. Husk currently manufactures and consults for over 150 sign companies nationally, giving us a strategic alliance with a proven national consortium of installation and service companies.
Because of its experience and reputation for excellence and innovation, Husk Signs became an LED beta testing site for several national providers of led lighting products. 2002 marked the purchased of another adjacent building, further allowing future growth helping the company’s servicing of signs for its national accounts, as well as other franchisors, banks, gas stations, and cellular communications companies. 2010 ushered in the worst economy the nation has experienced in decades. At a time when most businesses were down by 25% or more, Husk Signs not only maintained stability but even grew by 2%. While Kip was disappointed, the bankers and accountants were ecstatic! In 2011, Husk Signs was voted the Small Business of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce of SW Indiana. Kip and the company were humbled by the distinction and recognition of their peers.
Today, some 37 years later in the history our company, we are a national provider of signs and sign service for we have built signs nationally for companies like:

The 2015 launch of the LED products wholesale and retail subsidiary HCI LED represents a natural extension of our growth. Experience
With a background of over 36 years in the sign business and experience with LED technologies that goes back to their introduction into the industry, we bring a wealth of expertise to bear. Having consulted for the leading LED distributors and manufacturers, we are in a unique position of having several decades of history upon which to build relationships with other sign manufacturers so that we know what the industry is looking for in LED products. Because of our experience, we were asked by many of the country’s leading LED manufacturers and distributors to consult as they tested new products before introducing them into the market. Our feedback helped them improve their products and establish a quality reputation among sign manufacturers in the United States. As we have grown with the LED market, we have seen first-hand the challenges of maintaining consistency of light color and intensity. Now, relying on our deep knowledge of the LED lighting industry, we are thrilled to announce our own line of LED sign illumination solutions from HCI-LED.

The Altair series is tailored to work within the tight budgets of price-conscious customers who do not want to meet the demands of tight budgets without sacrificing quality and durability.
We believe strongly in the quality and value of our products and stand behind them fully. In fact, if any of our LED module products fail within the warranty period, we will replace them without question. Just ship the modules to us and we will send a replacement within 24 hours.
